Whisky

thecraw has your back on that choice.

Bunkers, Farneyman and myself were in Machrihanish last year and stupid me decided to order a round of whisky (ey) for that strange Irishman with us. Anyway 3 normal measures, I almost collapse as I see the barmaid ringing up the prices £22,£22 & £14 for that cheap Irish crap.

I calmly turned to the good Dr Ray and said I need more money!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully he obliged.

What... did you not get the extras lol

Love whisky and if you don't it's an acquired taste worth pursuing. Talisker is still brilliant and like Oban, Clyneleish. Had a bit of 25yr old Glen Grant the other night which was lovely. And at the last whisky night we had 3 bottles all from Benromach distillery and all quite different. Such a variety and difference so something for everyone and nae snobbishness about it either. Take it however you want as long as water is all you add!

Ive tried a few varieties over the years, but in the cupboard at the moment I've got an 18yr Dalmore, a bottle of Dalwhinnie distillers edition and a Glenfarclas cask strength.

One of my favourites is the BenRiach 15yr malt matured in Madeira casks, very smooth

Our main Open, which was last weekend, is part sponsored by Highland Park, they provide a minature for every player (128 this year) and some fullsize bottles for prizes. I was lucky enough to come 2nd and along with an RBZ hybrid I also got a bottle of 16 year old Highland Park. Shame I hate whisky.
