Any buffs on here?
Just got my McTears catelogue and you can get a bottle of 50 year old McCallum for just £5-6k. Good buy in this day and age.
What is your favourite?
What is your every day drink?

For me Tallisker 10 year old and Black Bottle.

Doesn't seem good value to me. I know someone who bought an entire barrel (well 2 actually!) of one of the name ones (can't remember which) for about that!

Did partake of some drams at The Malt Whisky Society when I was working in Edinburgh - and even came across the London branch when back down here! Definitely worth joining!

Royal Lochnagar for me.

Everyday for me is Glen Moray, it is super light and smooth. For a treat then I like (wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth) Penderyn welsh whisky. Lovely toffee flavour on the pallete.

I enjoy a hauf or three!
My all time favourite is probably Highland Park but my " every day " dram is Glen Moray.
Also really like Laphroig but unfortunately I seem to be allergic to it as the head the next day is even more painful than usual. :o

Black Bottle's a good shout. One of the more palatable blends.

Isle of Jura for me. Lovely smooth peaty flavour needing nothing more than a glass which I sometimes chill in the freezer so I don't have to add ice and water it down.

I love my whiskey. I prefer unpeated whiskeys but will drink any really

Luckily on my last trip I wentt to the Arran Distillery where I picked up a few bottles of Single Sherry Cask. Beautiful whiskey. Also got a Cask Strenght Glen Gairoch 1991 oak Barrell for the collection.

Never mind your old whiskey malarkey, its the poitin you need to try. The stuff is lethal. There was always a bottle or three lying round the farm to treat a sick calf! Very small amounts required for the desired results.

As for whiskey I prefer a wee Jameson if Im having one although I do like a wee whiskey run along the top shelf trying a few different ones.

Highland Park is my favourite.

Also love Jamesons.

Don't buy either very often though because if they are in the house, I will have a whisky/ey or two every night until they have disappeared and this doesn't take long. I have no will power when it comes to whiskey/ey.

Black Bottle for everyday drinking and Bruichladdich as a treat. Also enjoy a good Bourbon - Markers Mark or Woodford Reserve
