Would be the courses for me, as much as new bats are great, as others have said the memories of playing great places will last far better than the gratification of shiny clubs.
I've got a landmark birthday (40) coming up later this year and am trying to decide how to treat myself to mark the occasion.
Option 1 - Go for the full custom fit experience to get myself a new set of irons. (I've never owned a brand new set of clubs. Got fitted for a driver a couple of years ago but have always had second hand irons)
Option 2 - Put together a list of 3 or 4 of the best courses in the UK and go and play them all over the course of a week)
Background info - I play off 18 and due to work and family I only get to play 18/20 times a year so I'm never going to play to single figures. I was at uni at St Andrews so have played all the courses there and would be looking at other top courses I haven't played before.
So if you were in my position which would you choose? And if you chose something else what would it be?
