Did anyone notice that they all seemed to lift their left heel in the back swing and bring it down as the down swing started ( when using the driver) ? And bobby jones did it on every shot.
Is that old school thinking or just unpopular nowadays?

Some of us learned to play a loooooong time ago, and raising the left heel is ingrained in my swing.

Bobby and Joyce's swings would have been formed using hickory shafts and then changed to steel.
Looks a bit like Bobby is using a hickory shaft in the film.

Hunter Mahan. Great rhythm to his swing. Love watching his pre shot routine where he breaks down his swing trying to get it into synch.

Its got to be freddy couples , no effort and yet he gets it out there , if he was a better putter for he would have won more , monty in his prime had a swing that repeats , I watch him on the range with a 6 iron , was like watching a video repeat over and over again , then you got Tom Watson , not much has change , oh how I wish he had won the open at Tunberry a few years back
