Which part of your game has been most affected ?

Played Thursday and today, most noticeable effected area is putting and chipping. Today my chipping was alot better but greens were a bit frozen and bumpy so couldn't gauge puts fairly.

I haves played since November (first week) so it will cone back slowly

Definitely the chipping on the super soft lies, just can't seem to get a feel for distance at the moment.

Driver is the best it's been in months, irons reasonably good, putting good considering the conditions of the greens I've played on.

So, all in all, pretty pleased. :)

Was looking forward to a knock this morning but it was effing freezing!

Hit the ball pretty good again but my short game is still pish poor.Putting from 6 foot and in was great though.30 points with 3 no scores all from good positions.

Can't see me playing much before Spring time cos I have a fair bit on and I really can't see the point in freezing my bollocks off for no reason.

Played for the first time in two months today. Whole game was 'off', but it was the putting the suffered the most, and then general ball striking.

You need some practice aids...

Good job you went for custom fitting
;) ;) ;)

Ha flipping ha!! :p

Err. Never been fully cf'd.

As I described in the blog, training aids are useless if you don't use them. :( What with the father in laws detieriating (sp!) health and death in November, the weather, family commitments, house hunting, and the business run up to Christmas, etc.I've not even struck a ball in that two months. So pretty much played how I expected to.

Now we're getting ready for the move next month, I doubt if anything will improve until we're settled in. Then the net comes out and I'll have some room for some much needed putting practice!

But thanks for your advice. :D

Played twice at the weekend. Ball striking was better than expected. No thin shots, just some fattys.

Putting with the new Nike Method 3 is great. Putting seemed to have improved. Hopefully it can only get better (along with the help of the V-Easy.

My chipping is still as terrible as it was. But I'm putting this down to not having any "real" wedges in my bag until now. Hopefully with my range of wedges, once I've got used to them, and practised, my short game should improve. But I'm looking to get a few lessons before the spring to help with this.

All in all I was quite pleased with how I played. Things can (hopefully) only get better!

Last played on 20th Nov 'cause the snow came the following friday and scuppered all golf through December. Course only opened back 9 for NYD competition which i couldn't play in.

Maybe this weekend

Might need a refresher course in the basics, grip, stance, what end to hold etc ;)

Played yesterday and right from the start hit a stonking drive leaving an 8 iron to the green. Stuck it to 2ft from the pin and sunk the birdie putt.

The second par 5 requires an accurate drive for any chance of making par. Drove to the perfect position, middle of fairway. 2nd shot with my 4 wood left me a wedge only after striking the ball so sweetly. Just missed the birdie putt but still well pleased with par. Please bear with me here.

Next hole is stroke index 1 and clearing the diagonal ditch is essential to getting a chance for birdie. Again I couldn't believe how well I hit the driver and easily cleared the ditch and in perfect position. 2nd shot 6iron 6ft from the pin and sunk the putt for birdie. Never have I had such a good start to a round.

Continued to play par golf up to the par 3 6th - 150ish yards. Well I hit it and was all over the flag, dead straight and would it be a .............................

Then I woke up at 2.30 needing a pee!!!!

Sorry, but I can only dream about a round at the moment. :D :D :D :D

A dreamy Golfmmad.

Went for 50 at the range last night and was very poor to start with. Lots of shots coming off the heel and bouncing along the ground. I started to get a little better towards the end but still very poor indeed. My back and neck are killing me today too.
