Which is more important, pace of play or the weather?

Which of these would you prefer?

Wet weather gloves were a game changer for me, both hands. They stop the paranoia about dry grips, needing multiple towels etc. Proper waterproofs, including socks and hat, head down and get on with it.

I rarely bother with a brolly as rain usually comes with wind and then it's just a fight.

My only issue, how to keep a card dry. Happy to hear suggestions regarding that.
Keep card and pencil inside a zip-lock plastic bag that's just large enough to be able to pick the pencil up and write on the card without opening the bag.

Do you mean open the bag just a little bit or are you holding the pencil and writing with the pencil fully inside the bag, you are holding it via the plastic bag?

Have you not heard of scorecard holders??

I should probably try one, I usually use the one on my trolley but that doesn't stand up to heavy rain. Do you find you can get it in and out, write the scores, and still keep it dry?
Could also be worth if you get one looking at getting some Rite in the rain pencils. (That’s the actual spelling). So even if it gets wet you can write on any paper or card with no issue and it can still be rubbed out in error.

I literally only use mine when it's raining so the card doesn't turn to papier maché.
Don’t worry I’m uncool with you 🤣

Difference is I use one all the time, I’m a massive creature of habit and all work pocket notes-pads have a small hard case as they’re designed that way so it’s a habit that’s crossed over as it makes life easier when writing having something firm under the scorecard.
