Stoke by Nayland for a round on both of their courses (36 hole comp) or North Hants GC (18 hole comp) been reading some reviews & it seems close but they are abit out of date. There both on the same day.

I would love to play Alwoodly or Ganton both in Yorkshire and look fantastic! However during 2012 I will be travelling further a field... starting in Ballyliffin with some of the GM motley crew :P

Both Stoke by Nayland courses are nice. Not breathtaking but still very good and Gainsborough at Stoke is a very good challenge for anyone. Havnt played North Hants so can't comment on that one. I would of joined Stoke by Nayland if I didn't join my current club.

have played ganton half a dozen times now ,class course and good to play as long as you stay out the bunkers,

Hehe, I love bunkers so would be hard for me!! Course looks amazing.. If I get my handicap down to at least 25 this season I will treat myself ;)

well worth the effort, it's one of the best courses I've ever played. I'd happily play it again every day for the rest of my life. Preferably not going in the bunkers though!

North Hants is a nice course. Not one I would make a special effort to play though it does have a strong connection with my course. The two courses host the Hampshire Hog one of the top amateur competitions played over a weekend. Has a huge clubhouse that was funded by the sale of some land for building, and a total waste of money. Think it cost something like £5 million and is much too big for a club of its size.

Haven't played Stoke by Nayland but it hosts one of the Europro events and always looks a good test.
