I play with David every week now and all is well, to my knowledge, however I think he is rebuilding a computer, which may explain an absence!!

Thanks to everyone for your concern.
I am happy to say that everything is AOK, not golfing a great deal, but hanging in there waiting for the season (and practise) to get properly started.
I was way "off target" for a while over Christmas, dealing with one or two difficult things (not particularly personal), but thankfully that's well behind me.
I can report that rather than surfing, I have been quite busy fixing up some computers...it's true. I built a new "studio" pc from a box. I used all my old XP programs and hardware (sound cards, other PCI cards) and it's a peach.
Left with a virtually unusable desktop, I decided "how hard can it be?" (!!!!) to use what there was left to make a spare desktop. Anyway, it's done now.....dual boot XP and Linux ubuntu on AMD single-core/1gb RAM.
The scary thing is it works better than when it was new!
Anyway, if you haven't fallen asleeeeeep, I need to thank Brendy for his enthusiasm years ago for using Acronis products, without which, I'd be stuffed.
