Where would golf be today without Tiger Woods?

the pros would not be playing for the money they are,tv coverage would be limited, but on the other hand if he had not won as many majors another group of players could have become household names.on another note i wouldn't like to be playing COLIN MONTY.14 on the ps3 that would drive me nuts.

Golf was played before Tiger, and some of the players were quite good. In fact, I think it was more fun to watch much of the time.

Pros and sponsors may have benefitted from the Tiger effect, but I am not sure whether the average golfer has - I rather doubt it. As for all the people that Tiger has brought into the game - that is always a mixed blessing.

We are in an age where the internet and instant global communications require a focus or an icon
Whether it be pop music or sport, it needs a focus
Tiger was/ is around at the right time,

Talented, handsome and winning he is an obvious focal point for fans all over the world

We have all stood over a Putt thinking
" here's Tiger with a putt for the open"

It is impossible to guess where golf would be with out him
His influence has been amazing, but I guess it wouldn't be as big as it is now

Such a shame that the bloke himself is a pillock

Fragger
