At my course changing your shoes in the car park is not an issue. It's the people changing their shirts and trousers that amazes me. Clubhouse is less than a short par 3 away.
I'm serious thinking how changing shoes in the car park actually does anything detrimental to the club?
i think it's an image thing. some don't allow works vans in the car park either

WHAT!
Is that a fact?
100% this, some of us played at old small clubs were there isn't enough lockers and changing room aint that big.Car park for me.
If there's a sign requesting you not to, I'll change shoes in my car.
I also smoke, use a huge ball marker, and have a remote electric trolley. It's a wonder anyone will play with me.
I also don't buy the argument that it's to get people in the bar.
If I am forced to change in the locker rooms, when I finish the round....
Go to car to put clubs away (if I don't want to leave them unattended while I change)
Go to locker room to change shoes
Go to car to put shoes away (if I don't want them with me in the bar)
Go to bar
That is far less likely to happen than...
Go to car. Put clubs away and change shoes
Go to bar
Its a shame when such polls dont have the full set of options - I have used all 3 options in the last week.
So, my response would be "it depends"...
If you're in the car, the car will be in the car park, no?Yep, mine too.
Most of the time, I change my shoes in the car as I drive to the course from work.
Not even an option.
If you're in the car, the car will be in the car park, no?![]()
