Whatsapp, ?

As from yesterday seemingly my old Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 can't use Whatsapp anymore . Anyone know if I need to buy a new phone or is there some kind of fix ?.

Yes, but it won't download.

Have you got your phone set to download large files over WiFi only and you aren’t in range or have WiFi going there?

Setting haven't been changed it just stopped working , the icon even disappeared. I'm just off to the EE phone shop, i'll let you know what happens. cheers.

Looking at the WhatsApp FAQ it should be OK as it works on Android 4 and above, but you're on the edge

Just back from the EE phone shop, somehow my Google play store had been disabled and Whatsapp deleted, easy sorted in 5 minutes by a nice young lady.
I suspect my great grand kids were the culprits on their last visit , old people and modern technology Eh .

However, Whatsapp will stop working on older Android phones by the end of the year as HID has an old phone and has received notification.
