The Inn on the Green, as our 4th green used to be just across the road from it.

Stayed in the hotel there a few times. Good bar and excellent restaurant when we were there. We had a few lunchtime liveners after a round and as there 9 of us drew straws (3-PW) and decided to play the short par 3 outside the bar with only the club you drew. Great fun but someone must have seen us from the club as the hotel had a phone call and were asked to desist

Old Quay House = CRUD
The Badger = CRUD
The Watermill = EXCELLENT

Back 'home' in Orkney, my main local is called The Flattie
I lived in Orkney for 9 years mine was The Merry Dancers
Now live in Kent local is The Five Bells probably not as good as your Old Quay House

The Bull in Ditchling, East Sussex - its about 30 steps from my front door :D :D

I remember that one - used to live the other side of the Beacon

when I moved up here the village we lived in had 4 pubs (at one time it had had 9, and it's not that big), soon down to 3 (landlord murdered his wife), then 2 (as with many it's an Indian restaurant), kids have taken over one, so if go there to see the family it's The Cock.

In town mostly predominantly or wholly food, sports bars or overrun by kids, so I rarely bother.

No way - out in Eday?! What were you doing there?

Been to Eday for work but not to the pub, I believe Merry Dancers is closed, but a new boozer has recently opened up, called the Roadside.
