I took a trip into my local City today. I try not to think this way but It suddenly struck me 'What has happened to my Country' The place I grew up in and was so proud of, the people I always considered to be on the whole honest and hardworking with a common culture and set of beliefs that you could associate with.

I dont like what I see now and some may consider me 'old fashioned' or 'out of touch' with modern Britain and it's multi cultured and diverse society. What I see is a society that in many ways has lost direction and drive, this dependency culture that has reduced so many to have so little ambition or the want to achieve something other than what they feel entitled to. Also there are what seem to be marked divisions of race and culture that apear to create a lack of national identity.

I think there must be others that feel like this and surpress their feelings in fear of being branded as out of touch or even racist.

Do any of you have these concernes?

Don't get me started. Bracknell town centre has been dead for years. I've lived in Bracknell for over 20 years and I think ever since I moved there has been talk of regeneration. The only stores booming theese days are the pound stores. English is a minority language and facilities and opportunities for youngsters are few and far between especially for those from the lower end of the monetary scale. It isn't going to improve

Yes. Won't say anything else apart from I feel this country has lost its identity and history is being forgotten in the quest for political correctness.

Thing is, I'm guessing if you went down to the west country, they wouldn't have a clue that any thing has changed at all.

Certainly not after a couple of pints of rough scrumpy!

I believe it's the same everywhere SR! And will be for some time according to those who are meant to know - but didn't foresee the recessions!

I darent comment except to say after years of us ruling everywhere else and impressing our identity onto them we are maybe getting a bit of payback!

Funny you say that as that's were I come from, I live in the South West Midlands now but things in the Cities of the SW are as bad.

The problems I mention are not IMO only caused by people from other countries, they are endemic amongst the indigenous people as well. No need to work, knock out the kids and let the state reward you type attitudes.

Problem is openly airing any concerns is generally taken the wrong way, people call you politically incorrect even racist in some cases even though it maybe nothing of the sort.

I am concerned about how my town centre and the immediately surrounding suburbs are changing which are the areas i grew up in before we moved further afield. English is barely the number 1 language in those areas now and its widely regarded as one of the roughest areas in the county and it spawned the term CHAV which is now used nationwide which isn't a nice claim to fame.

I beg to differ sir.
Living in Cornwall I'm very close to falling off the end of England all together but we have the same concerns as the rest of you. Even down here we have seen a difference in the way people treat each other, how the next generation has an air of untouchability, how common courtesy is being lost and more often than not victims feel like the criminal.

It's a sad state of affairs when people who have lived here for generations don't feel comfortable or safe any more.

We are losing our natural National identity as it's being diluted.
I heard to day that the number of Poles now living in Britain equates to the population of Cornwall.......
A large percentage of them are doing jobs that seem to be beneath a large proportion of Britons.
We need these Poles to do these jobs because we won't - that's simply wrong.

And I've nothing against Poles apart from the fact they stopped us qualifying for the '74 World Cup......

Not really. I don't mind a multi cultural society, I don't mind people moving to this country from across Europe either as those are the RULES. I don't mind people having different religions or supporting different football teams.. these aren't the issue that are dogging society.

What I DON'T LIKE is companies like Google, Starbucks, Amazon etc who fleece the finances out of our people then ship the profits of abroad without paying tax. As a nation we shouldn't allow it.

I don't remember voting for a multi cultural, multi racial society or for a European Union that was anything more than a trading common market. Benefits for life, but hard working people I know who have lost their jobs struggle to get into the system for any help, after paying into the system for many years.

I am not a stick in the mud, but am fed up with being told that this or that policy is great for the country, knowing that it isn't, and seeing the plan discarded after millions of pounds are wasted. Seeing the front pages of newspapers with a Somalian illegal immigrant family with 7 children living in a £2m house in London moaning because its not big enough and wondering whether thr Prime Minister has read the same story, and if so, why he hasn't picked the phone up and told someone to get them out of the house and country.

I could go on and on

As I get older and see the mess we are getting into I do dispare.

Do you like the work shy with their entitlement attitude? I am not pointing my comments only at immigrants but anyone who lacks common manners and those who make no effort to fend for themselves.

Big Companies that avoid tax are also part of the moral decline but two wrongs dont make a right, it's just another symptom of Broken Britain.

Regarding 'THE RULES' The sooner we change them to something that does not weigh against our good nature the better.

No-one stands up and says NO any more
The British public just allow the do-gooders to tell us what we cant do, the politicians rob us with taxes and expense fiddles and the media tell us we've never had it so good.
Recession, what recession?
We're all in this together..............yeah right
Joe public in the s**t and the powers that be have got their noses in the trough.
Britain has no backbone any more.
It's not allowed

Why is that two wrongs? you lost me there.
