I lived in the London suburbs when the IRA were in full swagger.
It was a much more scary place than it is today.
There will always be 'issues'.
In the words of Harold MacMillan I don't think we have had it so good.

Folk are not dying of hunger or disease, very few folk are homeless.
I think a touch of reality is called for.

After almost thirty years, I'd have moved on. Yes it's not nice family members died, but YOLO and standing about shouting how unfair life is and how it's apparently the polices fault thousands bum-rushed the pitched and crushed other humans is now getting a bit long in th tooth. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot they'd have done the same thing, self preservation. But maybe I'm being cynical and they are all up standing pillars of the community.

I'm a little baffled by this post? You obviously have no idea about the subject matter based on the fact you state they "bum rushed the pitch" (which even the most ignorant and bigoted bellend knows didn't happen). You then sign off with "I'm more a MTFU and crack on type of person".

If somebody was to 'crack on' and just accept the repeated lies written about their children (do you have children? would you have accepted it?) their family or their friends, would they be 'manning the f*ck up' or just a shithouse? I think the latter.

Do you think for e.g. Trevor Hicks 2 daughters would have wanted him to 'man the f*ck up' or Ann Williams son wanted her to 'man the f*ck up'. I know if it was my family I wouldn't have accepted it and it would have be a dishonour to their memory to do so.

But hey you're just a MTFU and eat sh*t type of guy so obviously wouldn't understand.

(BTW It's actually 24 years but that's not really relevant).
