My tongue was firmly in my cheek when I wrote that. Some of my best friends have vans!

Back to the thread at hand. Would people PLEASE stop saying you'd chin them, hit them with a club, fire a ball back at the, etc etc. No you wouldn't.
SURELY this is what it should be Jester ^^^^^^ ? a call through hole ?? otherwise thats nuts . i wouldnt fancy been on a green putting , knowing the guys on the tee are going to be hitting off ..
regarding the OP , would you not give the guy a chance to apologise first or anything , perhaps he didnt mean it ? juat a thought .. leany dude i always look forward to your posts now![]()
I was guilty of this crime once, total accident, hit my hybrid about 230yds when trying to lay up!
As soon as I reached the guys I apologised and it was sorted calmly.
I think it says more about you leaney for picking up the ball than the guy who maybe hit the shot accifentally!!
Not the first time you've posted about having trouble, maybe you've got one of those faces??
 the amount of folk on here that would "chin" or "bury a club somewhere" is frankly laughable. Do you react like this all the time?
OP you do seem to have a myriad of these problems don't you?

Totally agree.
All these posts about stealing the ball, whacking it in to the next parish or threatening to belt someone for having the temerity to hit the ball further than they intended are absolutely ridiculous and are not in keeping with the spirit of golf.
My advice to the OP would be to leave a club that is clearly a Mecca for golfing chavdom and join somewhere decent. It sounds awful and full of the type of people that drive white vans and play golf in cargo trousers.
That said, having read about the OP's incidents over recent months, perhaps you are at the right club already? Either way, if you have an interview at another club, I wouldn't recount any of your recent escapades as I am not sure they cast you in the most positive light!
Are you sure?
Have you forgotten there are some peasants on here![]()

Normally if i read posts like this I think, 'yeah mate, whatever....' but having seen The Captain at Woburn I kinda think he would.
I remember a few years back one of the clubs i played at with some members, if it happened they just put the ball on a really high driving tee to highlight the bad manners. It was frowned upon and if you had your ball teed up expect someone to have a word.
You were man enough to apologise for pushing through the group in the past. I don't see how anyone here can hold that against you in this instance. Someone hit the ball towards you while you were still on the green. They didn't apologise or even acknowledge their mistake/stupidity so in my book you hold the moral high ground on this one. I wouldn't get too wound up by a few who hold grudges mate. Hope it all works out at your new club.
Where does it say that I picked up the ball? My playing partner picked up the ball.
You shouldn't make silly comments if you can't read.
