If that is the case I have no problem. It is just if.....[lots of words later]...so I am willing to move on and return to the happy person I normally am :D

Blimey! Wouldn't it have been easier to just type "Righto - gotcha. No offence taken."? :D

No offence intended and I suppose highlighting one of the 10/10 scores would have made more sense.

Con Air is still pap though... ;)

Lol careful toon you don't want to offend me again, a long winded response is never far away if I feel unfairly treated. ;)

Sorry A_F I stand by my 10 for ross kemp in afghan, purely because documentries dont come any better for me!

This guy put him self on the front line in one of the worlds most dangerous places, the action was real, intense, close and the feelings of all the lads could be felt back home!

Definitly desreved its 10!

Each to their own.

This thread was always destined to fail. One persons 10 is another persons 1.

Mate of mine likes black and white subtitled Japanese films to the exclusion of all others. God knows what marks he would give any of the films mentioned so far.

Anyone seen the Sex and The City film yet ?

Mrs Soze would like to go, as you may expect I ain't too keen :p

I would rather have my genitals cut off with a rusty hacksaw than even comtemplate watching this rubbish.

Fortunately Mrs Jon and a few of her mates have unlimited cinema passes so I am spared the viewing of chick-flicks/girlie rubbish.

I would feign illness, if that fails object on moral grounds, if that fails an old fashioned hissy-fit may be the requirement.

Keyser, You would have to hit me over the head with a blunt instrument and drag me bound and gagged to watch that film. You would also have to rig up some contraption that keeps my eyes open(like in A Clockwork Orange)to stop me from looking away.
Best film I've seen in the pictures recently is No Country For Old Men. A solid 8/10
Another solid 8 if you happened to miss it and like your cowboy flicks is Open Range Probably has the best gunfight I've ever seen in a western.

This afternoon went to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Leather or whatever it's called. No idea what it's about as nodded off after about 15 mins. Sorry A_F but it wouldn't get 7.5/10 if you added up the total score of the entire audience. A pity really as I was looking forward to it.

Cloverfield - 8/10, great film, very well made just a bit too short for my liking.

Sweeny Todd - 7/10, don't normally like musicals but quite enjoyed this one.

No Country for Old Men - 9.5/10, superb film, only let down by the inbreb southern American accents for me.

Black snake moan. Not a bad film (not great either). Samuel L does his usual moody self, and Christina Ricci plays a sex mad slapper who gets chained to a radiator in her scanties. Also features lots of shots of Justin Timberlake crying.
Ticks all the boxes for me.

Just watched Cloverfield and thought it good, but prefered the Korean film The Host - a similar but more rounded film.
Have No Country for Old Men on my DVD rental list, really looking forward to that.

Master And Commander and This Is England are my most recent viewing and in as much as I though they were ok, I found both had flaws.
The former is lacking in any meaningful drama or concern for the main characters. Crowes upper crust English accent also leaves a lot to be desired. I just felt that the characters were underdeveloped and had no substance to them.
This Is England I quite enjoyed as it had a more "real" feel to it, but was still a bit confused about what it was trying to say. (I'm assuming it was trying to put a message across)

Both 7/10

Dead mans shoes, not very well known brit flick. it's made by the same fella who directed This is England. 8/10
The Cottage. came out last year, lowish budget british comedy/horror. i think it got panned by the critics, but i really enjoyed it. it's better than Shaun of the dead. 7.5/10
No country for old men. absolutely brilliant!!!! 9.5/10.
Apocalypto. Mel gibson directed film about an Amazonian tribe. i liked it a lot 8/10.
300. stylised greek war story. lots of fighting and effects, very entertaining 9/10
