what mid life crisis? haha

Gibbo. Enjoy the new toy! Don't let the practicality argument over-ride the pleasure one! Do the woods still need to be removed so the bag will fit in the 'boot'?

From the driver of a Company (assisted) Beemer? Merc? Jag?

@RGDave. Not keen on Bentley then? I take the P out of someone I know by referring to his as an Audi! He takes it in good heart as there has been 'motor out' faults 4 times! And the mini hub-caps have been knicked too! Sounds gorgeous though!

I kind of ignore Bentley altogether. There's a few round here; if one's parked up, I don't even bother to look over it. Anything else and I'll be drooling like a school boy. odd that....

There was a Porsche Cayman 3.4 at the auction (last time I went) and I stuck in with the dealers up to £14k. The Hammer fell on £15,600. It never made the reserve.....

t.b.h. I have a thing for the R8.

think you'll find Audi have been leaving co car beemers behind for a very long time now

There was a definite shift from BMW to Audi for non-private buyers. BMWs were becoming the new Mondeo.

I have an old/private 320d touring/estate and it's probably the most common car around here. Deathly boring.

its the 225bhp, its around 6.5 for 0-60 and I have had it to 155mph (last week on the a1m although I do not condone speeding but wanted to see what it could do)

I can get 2 sets of clubs in the back and my trolley with room to spare for a bit of shopping on the way home.

I think its a great motor, solid, well built and quick enough if needed.

Good for you Gibbo. (not the 1** mph!)

I'm torn as to what to get myself. plan a) is to buy another pocket money car, like normal (zzzzz) or plan b) get something outrageous just as a once-in-a-lifetime car.

Just been looking at Coupes on Autotrader. I've been pipped for a few at the car auction recently....I'll bag one soon enough. Last week I went for a 190 Celica, only to stop £50 short. I'd also quite like a GTV maybe....

did you look at the mpg computer when doing 155 mph!!!! wee brother had the 225 i gave it some and it was like 2 mpg at high speed

Going to have to go a long way to beat my Mercedes CLK230 Avantgarde worth £15k which I got on Fleabay a few years ago for £4500

sold it for £11k a couple of years later when mid life crisis had passed

Oops here comes another one

Fragger

If you can turn a profit like that, I think you should have more crisiseseses.

the mpg was at 9 lol

average at the mo is 34.9 which is about on par with the crappy cmax tbh, just a lot more fun doing so (with the odd boy racer roundabout rev fest lol)

Good little motor, I had a 225 rag top until recently. Was a good laugh especially after getting a replacement airbox, DV Valve installed and a remap. Was running at 270bhp when I sold it last month.

In the end I got rid of it as it has no boot to speak of and having the clubs on the front seat was a pain. Have now got an E46 M3 which is still a vert but does at least have a boot (of sorts) which can fit clubs in.

don't wear that pink polo shirt and oakley shades or you will be having a crisis, can i book in for next thursday to have my highlights touched up please.
