WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM???

Lately, my biggest problem has simply been my lack of consistency. When I started I would slice 90% of the time, which I could cater for. Now I have no idea if I'm going to slice, hook, push, draw or hit it straight. The longer the club I hit, obviously the more the potential for error.

As a single shot though, my 20 yard to 60 yard range of shots around the green were always hit and miss...found them very hard to judge.

Mainly the driver for me. If I can master that then I know I can play almost all of the shots that I want to play with a degree of faith that they'll come off. The only other thing is a tendancy to push irons or fairways/hybrids straight right. Oh and the fact that I'm too porky to turn properly!!

My golf as summed up by another!!

Consistency and stamina.

It would be interesting to get advice on exercise, diet etc from your contributors.

In terms of general workout regimes, what to do on the day of a match & the day before. Warm ups, warm downs. What to eat before a round etc

bunkers - I just can't get to grips with them. I can thin them miles out the back, hit too soft and stay in, miss entirely from hitting too far behind.

Yep, have done all of these often in one day.I find I usually do better if I try to play it as a 'normal' shot rather than something special. If I fail to take sand it will go too far, but at least I don't choke on it - and I'm out a there (possibly in next bunker!)

I just wondered what was...
the shot you find most difficult to play
scenario you struggle to deal with
area of your game you wish was better

Draw with the driver.
Dog leg left with trouble on right. (at the moment it is 3 iron EVERY time)
Coinsistency of strike,,, ball/ground

I'd be willing to hazard a guess that the vast majority of us rock up, often with a hangover, usually with a gutbuster breakfast, maybe a ciggie (not me that one), give our mates some gip on the tee, windmill our arms a few times and let rip. I'd also be willing to bet that we all know that we should have gone to bed early, exercised, had some muesli, warmed up at the range and done some stretching. And my killer third bet would be that the VAST majority of us don't have the will to change this.

well, the muesli doesn't work!

- got to say that if you need a special diet to get round 18-holes you really should take up bowls.

- though skipping that 3rd pint before the second 18 might help! :D

I tried playing medal without a hangover once. It didn't help. I have since reverted to my usual pre game routine.

In fact I woke up without a hangover sometime last week for the first time in decades, and was disappointed to discover that mornings are still rubbish, only more so when you don't have an excuse.
