18th at Lytham. Just sits there majestically offering all it's beauty and danger just daring you to wallop one. Last played it when a storm had blown through and the sun came out to light it up in the late evening. Will never forget it.

the 18th at Seaford head, one hell of a view over the towns of seaford and newhaven ,and also the sea.the tee is so high above the fairway the walk down to the fairway hurts your toes and your knees burn it is that steep and long. you are not allowed to take a buggy down it.
its a par five hole that is dead straight and just screams to be given the long handle off the tee.

Hard to single out just one.......

The first hole as you turn back towards the clubhouse (9th?) at Dornoch.
14th at Trump International for the visual experience alone has to be up there.
Par 4 9th at Formby is a superb long par 4 with a green overlooked by huge pines,
11th at Hillside for the views and the risk/reward scoring opportunity
17th at Carnoustie demands precision of the highest order
9th at St Annes Old Links that could be anything between a 9 iron and 3 iron into a sliver of a green depending upon the wind and the pin.
Par 3 1st at S&A is the toughest starting hole I think I have played - 200+ into the teeth of a wind.
3rd par 4th at Wallasey is a superb hole and a par is a treat.

I could go on, I'm sure I'd add 1st , 17th and 18th at St Andrews but I've never played it.....yet.

Really like the 13th at the Glen, Very simple hole down hill par 3. But it all depends on the wind as to what you hit, also some of the best views from that tee.
Totally agree with that hole - love the course although I always play the 13th off the front tee just to experience the view of the hole.

18th on the 2010 at Celtic, rip a driver, lay up with second shot and stand to take Facebook profile pictures in the middle of the fairway with the clubhouse and awesome view behind you. Unforgettable experience.

16th at Nizels in Tunbridge Wells is a good hole, little downhill par 3 in the woodland.

If I HAD to pick one hole then it would have to be the 3rd on the Montgomerie at Celtic. Par 5, 2nd shot massively downhill. As you walk over the crest of the hill the view is absolutely breath taking in the mountains. Then to make things even better, walking off the green you look over the 2010 course. Stunning!

That is a good hole, birdied it too when I played it.

For me though it's probably the Par 5 at Kingsbarns (12th?) long dogleg left around the coast. Stunning.

The posts with pictures really do add weight to the judgement. For those of us who have not played these lovely holes and courses it helps bring them to life. I'm loving the Sunningdale hole suggested by NmW.

The 18th at St.Andrews when +5 gross knowing I was going to achieve a life ambition and break 80. (And I did).

Some memorable holes I've had the good fortune to play:- #
The Presiach hole at Hopeman on the Moray Coast
The 8th on the Turnberry Kintyre
The long par-3 13th at The Addington
The 10th at the Belfry
The 1st at Machrahanish
The 18th at Carnoustie

The 13th at the Add, can be so frustrating. Heather in the middle of the fairway! I love it.

Favourite hole? Rebecca Bailey, St Andrews, 1998. She was lovely. Might get an infraction if I uploaded a photo of the hole so probably best not to.
