Why does the UK have so many bag carriers?
Not only bag carriers--people who criticize those who don't?
Teenagers often use motor carts [buggies] in the US, skipping the trolley phase altogether.

Anyway, my answer to the question is easier to play courses.
Shorter holes. Wider fairways. Easier to hold and easier to putt greens.

Because we love to suffer for our cause and we love to moan about others who are not suffering enough.

And I thought you had a fairly good grasp of the British character and would not need to ask such questions.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I want my golf to be 4 hours in the sun with no exertion or challenge.
