What is everyone up to over the next few months??

I got one of those h/caps too.... I'm getting the blades out of the shed right now and expect to be off 18 by the end of the day :)

I aint been playing alot recently with only half a dozen rounds in the last 5 weeks which really is unheard of for me but I have a good few games to look forward to over the next few months.

I have our invatation day to come,a game on the Old Course and a knock on Royal Aberdeen in September and also have a game at Royal Liverpool in October and the huge prospect of being part of the Scotland team defending the GM Ryder Cup the same month!! :D

What's everyone else's plans....any top trips coming up?

Not doing much apart from club golf. Still in three match play comps. Royal Musselburgh is in tip top condition at the moment as is Dunbar east links. Winterfield Dunbar is a total dump, really bad, but I have a lot of good mates down there so I play and moan. The groundkeeper has to go before any improvements will come and everyone including he himself knows it. Last week 9 fairways were cut…..all week. Council track, don’t give a $hit attitude.

Got a game fixed up for this coming Thursday and then off for a week the following week.
Will most probably get a couple of games in locally before heading off to Ping next Thursday to have the piss taken out of my swing on the launch monitor and to pick up my seniors flex ladies driver.
Then four rounds of golf over the week-end at Forest Pines.
Nothing booked then until the 20th August when I've got 36 holes at Cooden GC.
Then I guess it will be batten down the hatches for winter and get my piking tackle out.
Had enough of golf this season already

I have a few coming up, hopefully both my foot and my swing will have improved (sadly the two are not connected).

Besides the monthly medals, Woburn - Duke's (freebie), Smiffy's Cooden, Hollingbury, Aldenham (society), Captain's day, Hapless' Southampton, Goswick 2 and somewhere in there Society matchplay.

9 weeks off business ahead of me. first week i will act as TD at an Austrian bridge festival but thereafter it's all golf. September is an important month for golf in Austria

- Club championship (I will miss the cut)
- Ladies Open (I will act as caddy again)
- European Tour school (have applied as caddy dont know if i get a bag)
- Austrian Open (spec)

all within 3 weeks and within 25 miles

Tomorrow - Swinley Forest
Monday - Loch Lomond
Tuesday - West Hill
26th Aug - Sunningdale
17th Sept - Woburn Marquess
13th Oct - St Georges Hill.

Hopefully (ballot pending) got a couple of good Mid Aged Amateur events in September.

One @ Liphook and one @ Sunningdale

Tomorrow - Swinley Forest

It's NEXT Wednesday we are planning to play Cooden Snelly, not tomorrow!
:D

Ah, my mistake!

Trouble is that I am in Spain on hols from 6th to 22nd so really need to get some work done next week. Otherwise, I would love to come along. Please count me in next time when things are less hectic!

Cheers,

Snelly.

Are you playing at Gainsborough after your fitting or going straight to FP?

Are you playing at Gainsborough after your fitting or going straight to FP?

Playing Bob.
Do you and Jan fancy joining us???
:D :D
I was going to suggest if you get the choice, play the Karsten Lakes course.
Both courses are a bit squashed in so feels a bit crammed in but the Lakes is the better of the two.
I haven't played there for ages so cant vouch for the condition of the course

I think they mentioned the Lakes course when they arranged the day. Certainly follow your suggestion and try to get on that one if we can. Are there lakes on it?
