What film have you seen that you absolutely must tell someone about?

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif]In Bruges - superb writing!
In the name of the Father - DDL and PP were amazing in this.
All the Bourne's
Mesrine
Casino
The Worlds Fastest Indian - excellent Hopkins film, excellent. A must watch IMO.
Heat
The Departed
Pulp Fiction - soundtrack as good as the film
Django, I thought was superb
No country for old Men

Many more but these were the first that came to mind.

For me it was Jaws. I was just too young to technically get in but it was the one everyone was talking about. It was simply the must see, get in any way you can. To be honest I wasn't disappointed at the time although having seen it again recently compared to modern films its laughable

Glad to see some love for the watchmen. Loved the graphic novel and love the film.

Films that I have seen recently are The Raid for quality unrelenting action and Troll Hunter for great effects and for just being something very different

City of god (Awesome film you cant miss ... ignore the rest if you wish, but this one is a must see)
Blade runner
Deathproof
Big Lebowksi
Killing Zoe
Usual suspects
Cool hand Luke
Leon
In pursuit of happiness
Apocolypto
One flew over the cuckoos nest
Fargo
American history x
Good Will Hunting
The graduate
Southern Comfort

etc etc etc etc

Definitely 'Leon'

Going back a bit, Star Wars and E.T. - as a kid they were the 'must see' films of the time. I paid to see Star Wars about 5 times, haven't done that for any film since.

Oh, The Princess Bride and Top Gun - rank up alongside Anchorman for top 'quote' material

Nobody said they had to be 'great' films :p, just ones you tell people about.

Going back a bit it was "Heat" for me... The first time ever that De Niro and Pacino (Im a big fan) had done a scene together and alone.. It was when the confronted each other in the Cafe one was the good guy the other the bad etc..

Heat's top of my list!

Others are the (staple) Godfathers 1 & 2 followed by Jaws, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Dark Knight, Raiders of the lost ark, Back to the future.

think I see a pattern

surprised the 'the bridges of madison county' isn't on your list :ears:

I can't believe how many of you are only listing American/hollywood movies. There are some amazing foreign movies out there, you guys should check them out (if you haven't already)! You're missing out!

e
Seriously considered Mary Poppins and It's a wonderful life, but thought that the nuances of a childs stuggle, plus the economic back drop of Dark Knight just edged them out.... :D

Plus it has things that go boom and Batman.....
