Are they getting it about right?
Any commentators or 'experts' annoying you?
Too much putting?
Too many breaks/adverts?
All of the above?
None of the above?
Monty was getting on my tits as usual!

Your thoughts?

Monty's a bit of a douchebag, but other than that, can't fault it as usual.

Yes there are adverts, but the adverts enable sky to fund coverage that's actually worth watching as they can spend a bit of money on it without cost cutting.

Can't really say so far as all I saw last night was Rorys' wrist!!

Actually, yes, there was ALOT of coverage on this, but I suppose it was to be expected, unfortunately. Didn't detract from the coverage for me though.

Is there anyway to watch more of this other than sky's 6-12 slot, missing out on loads of it :(

Only if you can manage to get access to the video coverage on the USPGA website.

I'd say 6 hours of golf is pretty decent amount of coverage though!

Sky do a good enough job. Has left me thinking though, what more can you actually do with golf coverage. I suppose the red button could be ussed to follow one group as with the player cam in football. Other than that, there is not a great deal that you can do with camera angles (restricted by the course) and commentators are a marmite thing, some like one that others hate.

Sky are good for coverage simply because they show more golf.

Any thoughts on what ground breaking changes could be made to really improve golf coverage?

Whilst watching last night, mostly about Rorys wrist, which definatally effected Clarke.
I noticed how close the camera got to him and how much we could hear them talking.
I would love the coverage to be a bit more personal, especially golfers talking to there caddys, and letting the public listen into there thoughts on shots, distances, clubs etc.
Saying all that i doubt if the players would like it.
Why should be sports be different.
For example, referees in football havnt got microphones on that the public can hear, but rugby league has.

The Golf Channel are attempting to do that this season. At every tournament, they have selected guys Mic'd up so you can hear the conversations between them and their caddy etc...Hopefully that will continue to develop, as I agree with you.

GB - If Sky has control of the coverage they usually utilise the Red Button - case in point, last year's Ryder Cup...Because they usually piggy back onto the US host broadcaster, they are limited with what they can do.

If you're just using it for Golf, Sky is NOT good value for money, but when you watch Rugby, Football, American Football, Motor Racing and Golf, it makes it very good value for money IMHO.
