Thought I would start this thread to give people a chance to describe their personalities. Real persona and forum persona can be very different.

So me......

Those that have met me will know that there is nothing I like more than a bit of banter and having a good laugh. They also know that I don't suffer fools gladly. If I see a comment on here that is clearly a load of bull then I will respond. I will also endeavour to help people out on topics that I have a better than average knowledge of (I've played a LOT of courses so always happy to advise).

Over to you guys...............

Quiet as a mouse :D

I believe I'm just a pleasant nice person who will help in anyway I can

Ha! Nice thread!

I'm mostly a glass half full sort of person. Try to see the best in other people, try not to judge and give everyone the time of day. However, good manners cost nothing and I have little time for folk who can't muster a smile or have a good word for anyone/anything else. I can be quite serious, care about the world we live in but also like nothing better than a few beers and a good laugh. Very much in the "you only get one shot at it" camp and every day spent being miserable is is a day wasted.

I'm a nasty little Englander slightly racist and sexist right wing Daily Mail reader who loves all the antiquated sense of deference, tradition and etiquette associated with golf. Also fear change. And foreigners. And untucked shirts.;)

Studies have proven that in the majority of cases someones internet persona is a magnified more extreme version of their 'non internet' (I won't say real life as the internet is real life) persona. So people's views become more racist/sexist/liberal etc etc than they would be normally say in everyday conversation.

Interesting......145 views but only 3 people have commented on what they are like.

Ok...

I love banter, on the course or not. Sometimes I can be a bit too forthright with my views, which can lead to arguments. I like to laugh at myself and can be a bit too self-deprecating at times. I've been told that I can be quite arrogant, but I prefer to think of it as confidence. I'm not keen on confrontation, but I will stand my ground if I think I'm right...

There you go..:D

Bit of a typical Surrey boy: right of centre. I like to be good at everything I do and sometimes worry what people think. Competitive, but not arrogant (was when I was young). Need to have a bit of patience as I can be impulsive, especially when buying stuff.

People who know me say I love a laugh and act silly sometimes. I can be serious when required and get impatient when fools are around! :D

Lastly, I know everything about football and golf. ;) :p

Like most northerners tend to call a spade a spade. Tend to be a bit quite until I get to know someone, then let the banter flow.glass half full, think the best of people until I'm let down. Then no second chance. I always try to be polite and we'll mannered. Treat people as I would like to be treated.

I Think im.....

Quiet easy going sorta guy , big family man , values family health and happiness over material or financial gain..

I dont let what others say weigh too heavily on me , i believe its as easy to do something the right way as the wrong way

i tend to shy away from confrontation except when im doing the doorwork then i wont look for it but i cant shy away from it either , (but dont enjoy scrapping as much as when i was younger & fitter ha)

I have a very violent side to me that i can (thankfully) control , dont lose my temper easily but when i do , i do harm and am not a nice person to be around ,

I like to respect other peoples ideas and thoughts even if they arent the same as mine & i am a firm believer of treat others the way ud like to be treated and you wont go far wrong

Inclined to be a little shy, which gets overcompensated for with a wicked, occasionally acidic, sense of humour that get me into trouble. I like tradition up to a point, but will be deliberately irreverent if I feel I've met a Major Ponsenby-Smythe. I genuinely like most people's company, and enjoy a real good debate... even looking forward to meeting that argumentative scouser, who plays at Woburn - there goes my sense of humour getting me into bother again.;)

I'm a bit reluctant to say as I'm playing with Mike Harris on Monday and I might just wait for the next GM issue and see if "garrulous, ignorant, no nothing, ageing, grey haired eejit" is mentioned on the front cover!

I forgot to add that I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, I also like making love at midnight in the dunes of the cape. In addition I'm not much into health food but I am into champagne. GOSH. No time wasters please.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here... Do you like cats??
