played 18 holes today with a few mates left my r11 driver at home cus not getting on with at the moment, so i was going to use my 3 wood and a mate of mine add the titleist d2 10.5 stiff, he said on the first tee just try it on a few holes and used it all day,all i can say is WOW by far the best driver i've hit this year thinking about trading my r11 for 1
so i'll give my r11 1 more week to prove it's self

Tit is so kicking TM's ass with their new bad boy. Best driver on the market, everything thats white will be coming back to black when they try it!

Funnily, I already knew what this post was going to contain before I even opened it! I wasn't wrong either :D.

when my mate said plese try it
i was thinking in my head i know this is going to be the swing that changes's my mind about this driver :(
i'm thinking about going to the dark side help me please

Well mine's mis-behavin' big time at the moment. I know it's me but I can't get it right at all. 1 in about 5 goes where it's supposed to, the rest just go where they please...
Other woods and irons are all OK though.
But that's always been the puzzling thing about a driver for me. Everything else I can hit - a driver....forget it..
What I might do is when I get my 910 fairway, I'm going to stick the driver shaft in it just to see.
If it goes like stink I may get a 13 degree fairway and use that off the tee instead.

My 910 D2 with 'ilima 61 shaft is performing well after a bit of trial and error.

Not with altering it at all, just with how hard I swing. If I go after it, forget about it. If I give it a normal swing (around 90-95) then it's fine. In fact it's better than fine. It's damn near perfect.

Managed to get 269 out of it the other day, straight down the middle with a hint of fade.

I love this stick!

My Nike Dymo2 SQ is the opposite from that. If I give it my usual gentle swing then the driver is very hit and miss, more miss than hit tbh, but thought id try something else after a round last week. Teed up 5 or 6 of the worst balls in my bag, narrowed my stance, stood slightly closer to the ball and gave the drives as much as I could. Every single drive was bang on. Straight, long and high flying. Not sure I could trust myself to go after every drive like that without badly slicing or topping at least a few drives a round.

My D3 has been absolutely fantastic so far this year, Saturday excepted, but I put that down to these very tacky new leather grips I've just put on all my clubs.

Tonight however, its back on song again, and altho we only played 8 holes, the D3 off the 18th Yellow Tee's, (par4 374yds), left me with 92yds to the flag. (Garmin S1 watch).

Now that does make the game easier....... :D

I hit the D3 last week when the pro gave me a demo to try on the 10th. I'd hit my TM Tour Burner great and the Titleist was 10 yards past it. Top club and if I could afford it right now I'd be getting one. Might be one to save for later in the season as its the best driver I've hit including the Pings I tried last year and the R11 and TM superfast

I'm still loving my 910 d3. Absolutely striping it at the weekend and have only had a few holes on the front nine a couple of weeks back where we had words!

My G15 missed 1 fairway last round and wasnt far behind one of the longest hitters in the club, even with a shorter heavier shaft that the stock in it!

Can we stop threads mentioning Titleist drivers. My will power is weakening by the day. Even found myself extolling their virtues at the Club, based on the feedback on here.

Stick with it Dean, it will pay off.

i'm sticking with it for abit longer

just brought a stiff tp shaft to go in it cus the standard stiff feels abit whippy and i think it's abit to soft so im not changing driver's yet ;)

The stiff is still to soft - really! Compared with the re-ax still in The burner the blur stiff feels alot stiffer.

Wow Bratty thats some big driving - you been chatting with Timmytime? ;)
Nah, he's a good 150 beyond my drive! ;)

I probably should have added that was a one-off best drive, and most are 230-240 (total not carry).

Don't want to get myself a reputation, now do I! ;)

Just get a 910 and be done with with! :)

Been having a abit of a nightmare with mine for the last few rounds, kept hitting some big nasty slices but a friend noticed the other day the ball looked too far back in my stance, so moved it forward and hey presto my driving is sorted.

Starting to gain a little more distance with it now since the weather has warmed up and the fairways have dried. Nowhere near some of 300+ hitters on here but i reckon i got a couple close to 250 which is good enough for me.
