is it any good? I know it always ranks highly, but how does it compare to Hankley/Liphook/ etc.

I know its only a 2 ball course, but that fits with my requirements. I'm looking for a decent away day next March.

It is a seriously good course Nick! A match for Hankley and a step up from Liphook.

If your only other mate can't make it let me know, I get reciprocals there :thup:

it would be for my old mans birthday. I'm too lazy to buy him a present, so I get him a round of golf (with me being the downside).

I'll buy golf, he can buy lunch :thup:

It is sublime. One of the best sand belt / heathland courses in the UK and I would agree with D4S in that it sits between Hankley and Liphook in terms of quality. It is a course you never tire of playing and only reveals it's true nature after plenty of rounds there. Highly recommended. The lunch is similarly awesome.

Check the maintenance schedule during March though.
