Wentworth backs down

I see that Wentworth have backed down from charging £100 k per year membership. Did not help when the locals said they would block the road in the Rolls, Bentleys and capris.

Joking aside, nice to see common sense has prevailed. Anyone on here a member here that is struggling to fill a fourball. 😁👍

Not convinced the matter is completely done but the Wentworth estate members have a lot of sway on this and not sure the new owners were prepared for this

Read earlier that the people that own the houses around the course own the access roads as well. If they wanted to they could block the roads or refuse access to the course itself down these roads so I'm not sure the new owners had much choice.
