I was supposed to be heading off this morning on a golf weekend playing Carlisle in a 4bbb open on the way thro this afternoon then a few ales in Carlisle before heading to Silloth for another 4bbb open tomorrow at the grand cost of £27 for 2 quality courses.....I was heading over with IM02 and Dano from the forum along with our mate Cocker but the phone went at 8.45 to say that Carlisle was shut as it was under water!!
No golf today so we are re scheduled to leave at 4pm have a few ales in Carlisle then head over to Silloth in the morning,I was really looking forward to playing Carlisle as I had heard many good reports on it but we can't do anything with the weather eh?
Just goes to prove that Links Golf is the king,a phone call to Silloth and the report from there was plenty rain but no standing water......bloody Parkland tracks,slightest bit and your in trouble!
Never mind, on the plus side Prick Poulter is playing like a *** so there is a ray of sunshine in my day!
