I thought that was a cracking day today. Almost as good as the RC.
Ok the golf wasn't always good but it was exciting stuff.
Well done Girls

To be fair, after being astounded by the amount of poor golf earlier in the Solheim Cup, that was pretty exciting come the end there.

Peterson's finish was amazing, some very good stuff down the stretch.........apart from Laura Davies, basic matchplay mistakes that an amateur would cringe at.

The last couple of hours were intense and made great viewing. Petterson, take a bow, reeling off 3 birdies to win under that pressure was phenominal.

3 stops in play 2 for weather conditions affecting the course and 1 for lightning overhead.

Throughly enjoyed watching it today very exciting. Looked like Europe had it then USA looked like winning it then suddenly Europe come back to win. Petterson run at the end was incredible and also I think Hedwall who was dormy 2 and got a half after putting some good pressure on O'Toole.

Flaking Finish....Im in love with Suzanne Petterson... :o

But to be fair the whole team played out of their undies... :D :D :D :D

Fantastic day and great comp. Very exciting and watching petterson close out wie was fantastic. One of the best competitions this year, of any sport.

fell asleep after the lightnening break,

Melissa Reid seemed to be going well. Will catch highlights later.

Always nice to put one over our friends from across the pond. :D

I agree. Munoz ensuring nothing worse than a half in her match was also admiral and will probably go practically unnoticed. Petterson was sensational, as was Hedwall.

Well done ladies.

enjoyed the golf but thought the over the top support, face painting etc was rather childish and unneccessary. The need to win seems to surpass the Ryder cup nowadays

Paula Creamer was obviously knackered.

i told her, but she insisted on staying up most of the night - her touring calender means she doesnt get over here to see me much ;)

I thought both teams played bloomin well under pressure

Great climax to the event. You have to feel sorry for the US girl who chucked it away on the 18th to give us the vital result. It was almost the same as GMAC at the RC and it must have been hard under that much pressure. Still she bottled it and Petersen Munoz and Hedwal showed how to get the job done.

Great result, thought the Europeans had chucked it, but it turned out right in the end. Great spectacle for the sport.

Pity most of the top 50 didn't qualify by being oriental. Made it a bit of a crap fest. I mean, top 80 in the rankings qualifying? Come on.

Great viewing. What the event needed a really close finish. Did feel sorry for the American women that lost the last two holes. She had played superbly all week, and doesn't deserve to be remembered for losing the cup.

Petterson's putting was brilliant at the end, and the extra bonus was beating Wie. Find it hard to like Wie, and celebrating with your team before your opponent has finished the hole doesn't seem right. :(
