Well Done Justin Rose.

Spot on Smange,he was well oot of order and there would have been a melt down if the tables had been turned........in fact imagine if it had been Woods with that scenario.....

It wasn't Woods but Rose needs to take a long hard look at himself for future reference.

Doesnt bear thinking about if it had been Woods........ I actually couldnt quite believe he was doing it when I was watching.

I went from not being too fussed which one of the two won to really hoping Bubba would hole the putt and win the play off.

I haven't logged in for a day and a half and I can't believe there is not a thread on Rose ungentlemanly early gloat!!

What a fud,I have never been a fan of his and dislike him even more after last night. The guy was punching the air like he had sown it up even though Bubba still had a chance to tie.

Knob,I was hoping Watson would hole then beat him in a play off to teach him a lesson.

Punching the air my arse.Highlights below for those who missed it,check vid at 2.17.

You conveniently forgot to include all the footage...

He then proceeded to hug his caddie and celebrate with him as if he had just won before then running up to his kid and giving him a high five like he did the last time he won (and the commentator commented on this) before then waving to fans like a winner does and accepting congratulations from people before also fist pumping in the recorders hut.

But sure dont let the facts get in the way of defending a British player in America:rolleyes:

he should have held his emotions in check. bubba nearly made him look a fool. it was going to take something special and bubs nearly pulled it off.

I think you'll find he's English, which is in itself rather more important than just being British, donchaknow.

I personally raised an eyebrow in congratulation, but I must apologise for my overreaction.

Heard the joke about the Englishman, the Scot and the Welshman?

The English guy wins this golf tournament and the Scot and the Welshman got upset and whinged about it.

Made me laugh, anyway

What a load of tosh about him celebrating,

Justin played out of his skin and deserved a little fist pump moment on the 18th.
The 18th was not exactly a birdie oppertunity and he rightly felt it was in the bag.

Absolutely spot on.
Justin hit two stinkers and could have walked off with a double bogey. He played a good chip from the rough in front of the grandstand, then a belly wedge and put for bogey.Considering Bubba was in the trees and needing birdie for a play off,Justin rightly thought he'd done enough.
In a nutshell.........Rose played well all weekend,Bubba choked in the final round, and Tiger conned everybody into thinking he'd injured himself (just read that he's fine and playing this week, now theres a surprise)

Im really pleased for JR, he played great and scrambled well all week. Feckin Keegan Bradley blowing up cost me a chunk of cash tho. Had £10 him at 40/1 e/w. It actually made me think about betting on golf....instead of enjoying Roses's success, i was cursing Bradley on the back nine. I watched the lsst few holes through my fingers!!!!

I think Rose got carried away in the moment, certainly flew onto the range in short time after Watson's approach. Sunday's nob of the day had to be Blubba, 50 yards up the fairway before his partner played his shot. Bradley should have stuck a hot one in his ear.
