Got the letter today from my local golf club confirming me as a member! Knew it was only a matter of time, but well happy now it's official!
So all there is to do now is get 3 cards handed in and get my first official handicap, exciting times ahead:lol:

I just paid my subs today so should recieve my Letter on Friday according to the fella in the shop! Finish work on Friday at 1 so might even manage to get a round in, 9 holes atleast!

Then just need to get friendly with another member to get my cards signed

Lucky for some! I will probably be able to get a full round in on Friday, can't play saturday due to having to play Football(Sit on the bench...) but Sunday will be up and Tee'd off as early as possible!

I love having a locker at my place. Means I can leave the clubs in there and commute to Ascot and jump in a cab and be on the tee by 6 most night to get my fix! Now the OP has become a member, its a rocky road and it'll be a case of checking the weather every hour on the internet, scouring the club website and then as much golf as possible to justiify the fees. The fix needs its feed

I joined swanston, they give a very good discount to young players and I've also played the course before and enjoyed it.
