Weekend in liverpool

Are you out again tonight, could give you a few other pubs to try.
LB, just got back home, got some legion business tomorrow. Had a stonking couple of days. The Terracotta Army display was excellent. Flippin weather 😖. Saw some more of the architecture today. Lordy flippin Lordy. At one time 40% of the worlds trade came into Liverpool 😮
Loved the Anglican cathedral, the catholic Cathedral, just don't get that concrete lump at all. As Arnie once said I'll be back.

Never been out in Liverpool but hoping to soon with a friend who’s based there for uni. The beer scene is on the up there and I know the locals are famed for their banter.

Its a kinda incomplete stat like that but I managed to add some context to it for you:
Lordy flippin Lordy. At one time 40% of the worlds trade of moustache combs came into Liverpool

Think I have me fair share of them 😁 All praise to Liverpool 👍

Why is it called the Liver (L-eye-ver) building but the city is called Liverpool (L-ivvver-pool)?

Always heard it was named after the two liver (laiver) birds on the top.

Having done a little google, it’s pronounced that way as the building was originally built for the use of Royal Liver (Laiver) Assurance group.

Just come back from my own weekend in Liverpool. A few tips for people. A really fun restaurant was Revolucion De Cuba in the Albert Dock. Book in advance but decent food and a lively atmosphere. We were less lucky second night in the centre but that was more down to the numerous tables of hen night women, drunk and gobby, not a good combination to be near to o_O.

A little less obvious, best on a nice day. Go to Lark Lane, a street on the edge of Sefton Park. Park on the outskirts of the park near to the road mentioned, have a wander through it. Come back to Lark Lane and pop in to one of the many cafes, bars, eating places. Really nice atmosphere. We went into Pippins cafe, recommended. Google the lane, it is well known.

Marantos for watching the footy and food, the Albert for a traditional pub, the Masonic as well (used to work behind the bar). Esteban (or whatever its called now) to sit outside on a summer day and many other eateries, as well. Only a tenner in a taxi into the city centre as well.

We were there with the park being beautifully autumnal, sun was out, the park and lane couldn't look much better. If I lived nearby I could see myself there more often than the centre, although I am getting older . My son, as a first year student, would likely disagree but it was right up my street.

Lark Lane is a boss night out, has a real good mix of age groups and has a great atmosphere.

We dont like tqo talk about it too much otherwise we end up with the north end scruffs turning up 😁😁
