Wedge too short...

Hi All,

Bought a wedge off eBay, a vokey in fantastic condition, at a really cheap price that I offered cheekily and was accepted.

It has arrived, but it has been cut down by half an inch. I am 6ft 3 so I need an extra half an inch if anything! I can get away with standard with a 56 degree wedge, which is what I was expecting.

The seller was unaware it had been cut down, I think he buys and sells Golf Clubs. He has offered me a refund, but I was wondering if I could get somebody to add the length on? I am looking at around an inch. Would it be worth it, or should I take the refund?

You could take it to your local pro who could extend it for you. Should cost no more than £10

It's dead easy. Remove the grip, put a plug in the end and re-grip. I've even done them myself in the past but a pro-shop can do it for you very easily.

The put a plug like the link below in, cut it to size and then regrip it as normal

As LS said they will remove the grip without damaging it hopefully put an extender plug in the grip end and put the old grip back on.

We used to use a piece of an old shaft and then replace the old grip.

Yeah was wondering what 'plug' they use, if it is just an extra piece of shaft.

Hope they don't damage the grip, as it is very new!

Just a tip. Don't search the internet for "butt plugs" You'll get some unexpected results.

make sure you know the butt size (!!) 0.580 or 0.600" before you buy one, dead easy as said before, you may want to add 1/2" extra if your that tall.
