wedge help

I dont know, my short game isnt awful and I used to have a 58 and a 60 before that. I am now firmly of the mind that if the flag is tight against something and you need to get over it, you are better going a little longer and at least getting a look at the roll and be safer in the knowledge you don't have a wet/sandy/whatever next shot. Going for the hail mary rarely gives the intended results.

I don't really see it as a Hail Mary.... if you have a 20 yard shot over a bunker and a narrow green it's easier to get it to stop with the more loft- no need for any kind of fancy flop shot just a normal pitch with little hinge

It's not just loft
You have to factor in the bounce of the club and what the prime use is going to be.
Low bounce for sliders and on tight lies, high bounce for diggers and deep rough.
And many variations in between....
this worries me. what happens if i'm 60° distance away but my wedge has a 5° bounce and i'm in deep rough? well...i'm not that worried. but could i just get standard bounce on the RTX so they'll be alright in most situations rather than great in one specific situation?

I've recently taken my 60 out and just carry a 50 & 56. Both cleveland 588's.

They're due a refresh soon and I'll be going 52 / 58 once Wolf Man decides to shift on his new RTX 3's - which should be any day now...

If you over analyse too much you would end up with 3 bounce options with the same loft, repeat for all wedges, just in case. Try a few options, see what suits you and then get on with it. If in doubt go standard.

If it was I, the 52 and 60 in the OP would be too much. I have a 46 PW, 52 and a 58, so a nice even gap. After that it's about learning what you can do with each one, getting distances for say a full (not flat out) swing, a 3/4 and one back to hip height. After that if I was the OP I'd have some fun and learn about opening the face, ball position etc. Once you have a solid technique, it's an area I love playing with and seeing what I can do

the JPX850 pitching wedge is 45° so 52° and 58° wedges would give me that nice even gap. i enjoy that part of the game too and worked hard on it but only having the PW and occasional use of the 60° hurts me at times.

45, 52 and 58 are perfect.........low, medium and high covered
