Whilst you're going about your business today, please spare a thought to those who sacrificed everything for our freedom.

We will be attending the local remembrance service this morning. One of our lads has been selected to place the wreath so we will be watching with a mixture of pride and sadness for those that have fallen.

Having another personal 2 minutes silence at 11.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We were part way through our round but back near the clubhouse when the ranger sounded the klaxon at 11.00. People in the clubhouse came out side and stood in the rain, kids having a group lesson on the practice ground stopped what they were doing and as far as we could see everyone on the course was standing still with bowed heads - all apart from some self important plonker whose conversation on his mobile phone was obviously far more important than any thing else going on.

We had an away match at Hazlemere and they sent up a canon rocket at 11:00. The 2 minutes silence was impecably observed.

They even came around on the range a minute or two before 11 and basically told everyone to stop. It was well obeserved.
