played at Aylesbury Park with Imurg today,/(CVG had to work)

All going ok till the 3rd Par 5, 500 yds uphill into the teeth of the gale.

Imurg drives, The ball burrows a foot long furrow about a foot infront of his tee, then hops about 20 yards coming to rest just before the Ladies Tee.

He Was Not Happy

Up steps Fragger with a chance to capitalise on Imurgs misfortune/ crap shot.

Fragger lines up, lovely backswing, just nicks the top of the ball which falls off the tee and trickles about 4 feet in total.

Imurg had a couple more duff shots and finished with an 8.

Could Fragger beat him???

No he got a 9. Sod Sod Sod

However on the last Fragger drilled an 85 yard pitch to 12 inches from the flag, for a proper par 4.
Imurg had a 5. YES!!!!

Apparently the course only opened this afternoon at 12.30 and front nine only. Heaven knows whats going to happen for this competition on Sunday in the gales and sleet/rain. Its going to be farcical especially off 3/4 handicaps.

I'm playing with Hywel at 8.30 tomorrow and I doubt it'll be fit and not sure the back nine will even be open. More rain forecast as heavy showers tomorrow morning so that'll be fun too

Phil I hope your brother observed the traditional ruling for not reaching the ladies and you followed suit for not even clearing the mens tee box
