played in heavy rain recently for the first time in a few months and though i was wearing a GG gortex hat my head was soaked.

not sure it was just the rain , maybe perspiration as well. Had the hat checked by GG and they found it to be waterproof the last time i used it and this happened.

Anyone else found this with a gortex or other waterproof hat.

I wore my GG cap on Monday in constant heavy rain and it kept me dry, the dampness/wet I noticed inside was definitely down to either perspiration or the hat possible condensing?

The huge positive I got on Monday was that I wore my WindStopper and it kept my single polo shirt underneath bone dry, that Windstopper was saturated on the outside and nothing leaked through at all and it's only supposed to be a wind and light rain/showers jacket

It's OK having waterproof shoes, as I have, but my socks were drenched when I got in, feeling inside them they felt dry all around the linings so the water obviously comes through or over the laces/tongue area, can anything honestly be declared as waterproof in such horrid conditions?

Aussie Bush Hat for me. Awesome (unless it's windy). Stops all that rain dripping down the back of the neck, and keeps my glasses clear
