Watching US Golf coverage.........

I dont mind it. I usually have it on whilst sat on the computer or reading and look up if anything exciting is happening. Often watch it slightly behind real time on Sky + which allows me to FF through the adverts. I dont think I could watch Sky in general without skipping all of the adverts now.

Puzzled as to why you thought it was dreadful though? The video feed sky showed was the same as the Beeb, wasn't it?

It was the coverage during the breaks with Monty, sky almost had no clue to fill it whereas the beeb had lots of snippets around the course with ken brown showing the severity of the greens etc. Generallyi like the guests sky use with Coltart, Pugh etc but Monty is a far better golfer than studio guest.

Fair point. It was year 1 though, I'd expect the coverage to be a lot slicker this year.

The OP asked for opinions about US golf coverage. Fact is they focus massively on Tiger. My issue is with the broadcaster, not the player, so think it's a fair point to make. Not Tiger bashing at all.

I love watching golf and for me, variety is key. Anything that prevents variety spoils my enjoyment. That's, you know, an opinion.
