Following on from the pre round prep thread, does anyone warm down? After a round I usually visit the bar (as you do) Half an hour sitting supping my pint and I'm as stiff as a board (stop sniggering) Thought it was just me getting old but all my playing partners suffer from stiffness after a round, youngest in his 20s.- although now that I think about it I was often stiff in my 20s- Anyway how do you avoid the stiffness (knocking off the viraga isn't an option) How in hell do you warm down from a walk? :D

I get this the odd time and found turning my feet on the spot or getting up even to put empty glasses on the bar helped my ankles and calves from seizing up.

When i get home I use a foam roller that I lay on and roll up and down my back , then use on my calfs and hamstrings. I then use a little rollerball massage thing on the bottom of my feet which is superb. Along with a few stretches i'm good to go. I will be bringing both devices along to the travelodge in Liphook so if you hear some funny noises coming from my room thres no point trying to gain entry as it will be all very innocent stuff.
