Wanted: A reasonably recent model blade long iron

I want to get myself used to the feel of blades so I can work to getting them in a year or two and feel like doing it the Seve way, long iron style.

If anyone has anything fairly recent sitting around, let me know. Low budget, don't want to be spending more than £20-30 for a single iron.

I have a titleist 695MB bladed 3-iron kicking about.

Nice condition, not been used much at all.

Go to a pro shop and ask the pro if he's got any clubs with a sweetspot the size of a housemite...


I wouldn't ever suggest one to play with it... Just practice and use your normal irons on the course... makes any shot easier!

There's going to be a big difference between hitting a 3 and a 6 iron bladed club.
A 6 iron could lull you into a false sense of security.
A 3 iron will have you running to the hills

Go to a Mizuno dealer, Not AG.

Ask them if they have any old demo clubs you could buy.

What i did with my local dealer, they gave me a 6 iron.

just been to Clays Golf center in Wrexham,and they have Mizuno Mp67 Mx 100,Mx200,Mx300( Ex Demo Clubs) but they looked brand new,selling at £5 each,
They also had Different shafts,lengths etc etc..

Nah they are all easy to hit, sure 20 years ago what other kind of clubs could you get and there has been a huge improvement in the average handicap..............

I'm as jealous of you irons as you are of my looks

If that's the criteria I think they will have disintergrated by then
