No I don't want to dance ;)

This weekend I'm playing in a team waltz comp. Never played in one before and looking on the web there seems to be a few variations of it.

Anyone played in one before? What should I expect, I know its pretty much a fun comp so should I be taking it too seriously?

One form is if a 3 man team 1 to score on first hole 2 on 2nd and 3 on 3rd and 1 on 4th etc. Hence Waltz 1-2-3. Another format may be 1 score on first 6 2 on next 6 and 3 on back 6 although the first format is more probable

Bowmaker, or stroganoff as they call it at my gaff, is in teams of four. Two scores count for the first six holes, three scores for the next six holes and all four scores for the last six holes. My team won our event with 123pts possibly a major reason why I love this format: played one, won one! :D

Playing in a Scrumble(think that the name) on Monday which is basically a mix of a scramble and 4 person team
everyone tees off you pick the best drive like a scramble and then everyone finishes there own ball. Should be fun. Played in something like yours Homer but it was called a rumble.

We had one last year on Captain's Day.

Terrible format. Far too much luck. If you make a bit of a hash of a 3 to count hole you're in big trouble as it is so hard to get it back.

One team managed 1 gross eagle and two gross birdies (with shots) on a 3 to count hole and annihilated the field.
