Hi guys, just new to the forum, had a look around and it looks great

anyhow, been really struggling with my game lately, started playing 4 years ago and joined cawder golf club in Glasgow, started off at 24 and got myself down to 14 and just basically plateaued there, went up to 15 3 weeks ago and just seem to be getting worse every time i play or practice, i am losing 20-30 yards of my irons so went and got myself a lesson last night and it turns out i have been breaking my wrists too early on the back swing therefore releasing the club too earlyon the way back down. done a few drills etc as you do and went to play the medal today and started 7,8 10,6,6,7 and just could not get any accuracey or nothing so had to go off as my head was bursting. went out with the wife and daughter and a pleasant day but the golf was still annoying me, when i got home i went to the local council run course and played a few holes and bang everything just seemed to click, driving and irons were best they have been in a long time! cant wait to get out again

anyone suffered anything similar?

p.s. sorry for the long opening post:o

Welcome on board. It happens so I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. If you are struggling and have been for a while then, boring as it sounds, have you thought of a lesson with a pro just to see if there is something basic causing the bad shots. Most good pros will spot it in a flash and give you the fix to get the game back on track
