Vokey

Not at all, like i have said, i have owned a vokey wedge. I think you need to go back and read my posts, and read the other posts, people saying Vokey are the best etc etc etc.

From what I've read of this thread, people are staing their opinions. All I will say is:

TBH my old vokey was the worst wedge i have ever had the misfortune to buy. I have seen the light, and it super soft Miura's for now. :). Each to there own, and all that.

They have been doing it for years Dean. These people will never understand what these clubs are like. Let them thing they are the best. lol

They work for us Dean

Its night and day, i do think its down to my shafts as well. Because i have hit a few Miura wedges with spinner shafts, and didn't like them as much.

I don't think you will find many Miura players having a 10 year old Callaway wood in their bag. So i think your generalisation is some what flaud.

Great read, but i think you are farting against thunder as far as these narrow minded people on here go. Cant wait to get my new Miura driver, it looks the dogs baws hahahahahahaha

You can't say, pretty much all of the above then call eveyone else, to use your words, narrow minded. Hence my Pot and Kettle post

As a mod, i would of thought you should no better to post some utter nonsense.

So, because I'm now a moderator, I can't have an opinion?

If you're going to call people narrow minded, just make sure you're squeaky clean yourself.

This is the worst argument thread ever. I'm not even sure who's arguing with who. Pointless. Come on people. I'm sure Miura wedges are fantastic. I haven't tried one. I probably wouldn't spend that much on each wedge. I have got mizzys and vokeys though. Both great. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how good the wedge is, if the unit holding it can't use it. Conversely, a good wedge player will make any wedge sing.

Some people wear George at asda jeans, some wear Paul Smith
Some people buy tesco value and others shop at waitrose
Some people buy donnay wedges and some buy miura

Personal preference and you buy what you can afford.

Who cares, we play this game for fun (well I do) and I can definitely say that for ME, my miura wedge is better than my Cleveland wedge. More feel, can judge distance better, and I get more pleasure out of using it.

If you have a donnay and you enjoy using it, then it matters not a jot what anyone else say.

And if the OP loves a vokey, good on him cos I absolutely love my miuras.

So, you want to enter competitions with a playing handicap of 27 knowing you could play lower than it?

With not knowing about your supp cards (......You didn't state), it seemed you wanted to lower your scores to considerably below playing HC and enter competitions.

Well that's how I read it anyway. Apologies for any insinuation and offence caused.

What are you saying about people in glass houses

Here's the full transcript for you Munro. Just to remove any doubt you have.

Can we ask why?

Yep, I only joined my club in July. The aim for this year was simply to improve and also get a few lessons.

Next year was always my target to start entering comps to see how my handicap has improved.

So, you want to enter competitions with a playing handicap of 27 knowing you could play lower than it?

Nope, I've already clarified with the pro at my club regarding supplementary cards.

Why would I want to do what you insinuate?

No offence taken.

If I ever win a competition, I would want it to be because I deserved to win, not because of any unfair advantage.

Show me before post #89 on this thread, where Deano mentions supplementary cards?

I stand by my interpretation of what was said in this thread and how it was resolved. In this case the pot, clearly, isn't the kettle.

If you disagree, please feel free to explain why

Well after reading this post my appetite has been sufficiently whetted to save up for some Miura wedges, 4 months at £75 should do it. I have nothing to lose and hopefully a bit to gain. Anyway up I'm having them.
