Vokey

I have owned the Mizzies and the Cleveland wedges too. I now use Vokey wedges, yes they do not have the soft buttery feel of a forged wedge but they are consistant and I can rely on distance control with them. Vokey are the ones for me, mind you I wouldn't mind a go on a Miura, how much do they go for?

No they use what pays the most on Tour :fore:

So professional golfers compromise there ability to play with the best equipment, inorder to get a few quid for endorsing a particular wedge ?
How much do you think the big companies would pay somebody who's not winning week in and week out ?
Why would a company pay somebody who doesn't win ?
If Miura wedge's are that good, why aren't they more popular on tour ?
The money/marketing argument is flawed, many Pro's use particular clubs through personal choice.

There's rumours abound that miura forge other manufacturers clubs for the pros.

No they don't. They are contracted to use certain clubs.

Of course, thats why Luke Donald (for instance) use's a Taylor Made Driver instead of a Mizuno one ?
Surely that suggests to Joe Public, that the Taylor Made Driver is better than Mizuno's ?
Luke use's the Taylor Made Driver because it's what works for him.

Had Vokeys but bought another brand when they got a bit worn... was buying Vokeys within 6mths and dumping their replacements. They work for me.

Let them thing they are the best. lol

A 6 quid Dunlop POS from Sports Direct could be the best wedge for you.
Ever tried one?

If not, how do you know what's best.
To find that out you have to try everything - and I mean everything.

Use what works. If you need to spend 150 quid on 1 wedge to find the one that works then so be it.
But don't belittle others who find Vokeys or Clevelands or Callaways or Pings or whatever works best for them.

The clue is in the "what works" bit......

They have been doing it for years Dean. These people will never understand what these clubs are like. Let them thing they are the best. lol

Ditto. Passing points next on my list

Tbh, wedges are like drivers - a personal choice.

Each to their own regardless of price.
