• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

Very honoured but ....

Well done, but personally I would never donate to H4H purely do to the fact that a Royal Marine friend of mine who suffered catastophic leg injuries in the first gulf conflict is not eligible for support from them,I'm sure I read somewhere the cut off date for help is the early 2000's which leaves a lot of injured servicemen and woman not supported by H4H. H4H have done a lot of good for injured servicemen but i'd have to agree with Simon Weston's comments

all of which is a different thread, why not start one?

Fantastic recognition from the charity for all the effort put in over the years and fully deserved!

Will you be getting your hair cut for the big evening? :D

Well deserved recognition for yourself, Rick and the team that have put the H4H day together. Echoing the words above, the work and commitment put in ahead of each of the H4H days, make those days run seamlessly, which is greatly appreciated by all those that donate and attend.

Not hijack the thread in anyway and if anyone needs further reassurance and clarification please pm me but: (I have no axe to grind either for or against H4H)

A. Look at the date. There were initial issues that SSAFA and the Legion (I am a volunteer caseworker) did have issues during the first few years that H4H started but this is resolved.
B. Look at the date of the link.
C. There are certain financial constraints that H4H operate under and as a charity they have to have criteria
D. They now support all vets providing they are in receipt of a pension due to injuries received in service.
