They don't seem to do this type anymoreSorry, not what you're asking but we do have manual, internal heat reflective blinds in the Velux windows of our large spare room that's built directly under a tiled roof. They are very effective. Forget to close them and it's like a greenhouse. Remember to close them and it's no warmer than the rest of the house.
No experience of Velux solar but MiL's old house had the battery operated remote control ones. I only had to change the batteries twice in the 20 years that it was down to me to do such things.
