How durable is the ion plate silver finish on these graphite shafts ?
UST recoil shafts.

One comment - some of it came off one or two shafts when I was re-gripping them.

It's pretty durable if you don't clatter them about...
I've seen some ugly ones on Ebay but mine are fine.
Had them a couple of years now on irons and for several more on hybrids.
Sometimes they get a white streak that looks like a graze in the plating...seems to wipe off with a bit of elbow grease.
They're certainly no worse than any other graphite shafts.
