US PGA 2025 Quail Hollow

Phil I stood at the side of a hospital bed when my mates 12 yr old son died as a result of being hit on the head by a golf club accidentally.

So yes it can kill someone.!

Awful to hear that. Clark was darn right dangerous here. Hitting by accident with a golf ball happens but If you throw a club you should be held responsible

And you can get hit on the head by a golf ball

Accidents happen in all walks of life even in sport , no one deliberately looks to hurt someone for goodness sake

Someone I know lost an eye by being hit by a club thrown in anger by someone. A ban isn’t unreasonable.

If you throw a club in anger and someone dies does it go from an accident to man slaughter?

"Involuntary Manslaughter:
This refers to killings where the defendant did not intend to kill or cause serious harm, but the death resulted from an unlawful act or gross negligence."

I mean a loose golf ball is an accident , throwing something that causes death you can't really claim it's a pure accidental

He shouldn’t be throwing things with spectators around. Simple as that.

Imagine if that hoarding is someone’s face,

Shouldn't be doing it full stop

Imagine it happened at your club you throw a club and your pp got hit and died

I'm sure the police would have something to say

If it bounces off the hoarding instead of going through it?

You will argue black is white it’s pathetic.
“If”

Lots of “ifs”

There was no fans there , he damaged his club and the hoarding and will get a fine in line with any code of conduct in the same way Homa has , Hatton has etc in the past when they have thrown a club

It was poor from Clark but it won’t be a ban

An incident happened years back where an iron was slammed down and the head hit someone , it was a fine not a ban

That’s your guess.

I hope he does might teach him a lesson.

He wouldn’t be throwing against someone’s face though - he threw where there were no spectators
There was a marshal stood just a few feet away from where it impacted the hoarding.
Clark gave no consideration to whether anyone was in the vicinity and had zero control over where the club was going.
It was pure luck it didn't hit anyone.

Your original comments were thoughtless at best. You're just making yourself look even more foolish with each subsequent comment.
