That’s your guess.
I hope he does might teach him a lesson.
Others haven’t been banned from events for petulant acts - there will be a code of conduct they abide too and will pay a fine that will hit the pocket

Not by much.
But from a good golfer I must admit I am this time.
It’s drummed into you as a junior don’t throw clubs someone might get hurt.!
How do you know this? The PGA Tour isn't known for making disciplinary sanctions public.![]()
Angry golfer's broken club strikes fan in head
Kevin Stadler slammed a club in anger during a Web.com event Friday, causing the club to break and fly into the head of a spectator, who needed six stitches to close the cut.www.espn.com
Just to highlight that it’s happened before and the player wasn’t banned
I've played with angry club throwers before. Thankfully I've never been hit, but I admit to being very nervous anywhere near them during a shot, in case they hurl their club in my direction. Last year a golfer fired his driver backwards, and it missed my mates knee by a few inches, who was stood about 2 or 3 yards away.Others haven’t been banned from events for petulant acts - there will be a code of conduct they abide too and will pay a fine that will hit the pocket

If you fire your club in a fit of rage, in an area other people could be, then you probably should have some sort of ban. Better to dish out tough consequences from the outset, rather than wait for someone to get seriously injured.
And you can get hit on the head by a golf ball
Accidents happen in all walks of life even in sport , no one deliberately looks to hurt someone for goodness sake
Often and regularly misses media commitments when things don’t ’go his way’ (2024 US Open, 2025 Masters Rd 1, and 2025 PGA for starters). Snaps Drivers, throws clubs in lakes, rips his shirt etc etcView attachment 58172
Have to admit I was surprised he skipped all press requirements.
Shame. Let himself down![]()
Congratulations on the W!Maybe I should have pointed out my post was tongue in cheek - as well as a bit of a dig about those who are quick to jump on the bottler bandwagon.
And I am no bottler as I won Div 3 in the Proshop stableford on Saturday![]()

Is it a bit like drink driving. An isolated incident is OK. But, if it is consistent, then you need to be banned? If we are talking about “consistent” incidents then something is required
Not aware of him doing anything like this before - he will get a significant fine in line with any code of conduct policy the USPGA has
Obviously if he keeps doing it then situation changes
Obviously a newbie to club chucking......
The experienced ones always chuck it forwards so they can pick it up on the way.....

I'm not saying he needs a 10 year ban. But I wouldn't trivialise it, and be more lenient on him as it is isolated.
Imagine one week someone did get an incredibly serious injury. No doubt you'd agree a serious punishment is needed? Then the following week another player does the same thing, an isolated incident for them, but thankfully hurts no one. Should we be more lenient, or should they face a ban for the potential to hurt, as seen from the previous week?
The golf tours should have some sort of code of conduct and fitting penalties. Throwing a club up an empty fairway or into a lake is petulant, but not dangerous. Throwing a club in the rough direction of nearby people in a fit of rage is both petulant and very dangerous.
Wasting your time mate.Have a word with yourself, seriously![]()
I've not seen it, but from what has been described, he narrowly missed a volunteer? When we start to bring things like drink driver into it it’s getting a bit silly
It’s very much an isolated incident and unless something has been missed it’s a one off
There will be some level of conduct penalties for numerous actions
If he threw the club into the crowds then it’s looked at differently, he threw it against the hoarders where there no fans behind - I suspect that’s prob why he threw it there and prob regretted it straight
He will be under no illusions that he will be in the eye now and any transgressions will be under severe scrutiny as well I hope paying a significant fine
It was poor and he held his hand up - but as is with the world these days - there will always be an overreaction
I've not seen it, but from what has been described, he narrowly missed a volunteer?
I appreciate a volunteer isn't a fan, and their safety is therefore probably considered less important.
But, if he did narrowly miss another human being, I suspect he wasn't in complete control of where that club could have ended up?
Wasting your breath, people on here will argue that he must have had an emergency on all four days in order to skip the media meetings.Often and regularly misses media commitments when things don’t ’go his way’ (2024 US Open, 2025 Masters Rd 1, and 2025 PGA for starters). Regularly flip-flops and does 180 degree turns on issues, Ryder Cup, Olympics, many other things…(instead of being more considered, measured and calm in the first place)
The more I think about it, he shows classic signs of being a hot-head, emotional, not too bright..and highly petulant.
Charming when things go well for him, but not so, when it’s not his day. We’ve all met people like that before in life..many/most grow out of such behaviour![]()
