Well i suppose remove the mind would be a better phrase...
Well for this mornings round i promised myself i would take a leaf from Snelly's bible and play a round without clutter....
Ok we were off our yellows which are society tee's but the course was soft so there was no run....
The competition was a 14 hole stableford from holes 1-7 and then over onto our 12-18.....
A par of 56 and i shot a gross 63.....I was 3 over for the front and 4 over coming home....
So here is the outcome....My swing is ever so slightly out to in..which is actually better than before i first started to fiddle with it..I didnt shank 1 ball....All my strikes with my irons were crisp and iv gone back to taking a nice healthy divot again....
My driver was a little flaky but my 3 wood was on fire, the best shot i hit this morning was off our index 3 7th.....I measured it at 238 mtrs with a slight tail wind...Not bad for a 3 wood
....Every mechanical thought that i had been thinking over the past few months vanished and for the first time in moths i actually enjoyed playing....
The score could have been a little better if it wasn't for a few lip out putts...But all in all im a happy camper again....
